Holes, slots, copes and mitred ends are cut in a single setup, so a structural tube leaves the line drilled, notched and end-profiled to the drawing. The fabricator downstream is joining parts, not making them — less marking out, less grinding, less fit-up labour on site. الثقوب والشقوق والشطفات والنهايات المائلة تُقطع في إعداد واحد، فيخرج الأنبوب الإنشائي من الخط مثقوباً ومحزوزاً ومقطوعاً طرفياً وفق الرسمة. المصنّع لاحقاً يضمّ القطع ولا يصنعها — تعليم أقل، وطحن أقل، وعمالة تركيب أقل في الموقع.

A saw and a drill press give you a length of tube and a pile of marking-out. A tube laser gives you the finished member: bolt holes on centre, service slots cut, ends coped to seat against the next tube. Copes and fishmouth joints that would take a fitter significant bench time come off the machine ready to tack.
