Large tube and thick plate quotes go faster when the maximum sizes are clear at the start. These are the ranges we publish.
Tube and pipe
Round tube up to Ø650 mm. Square and rectangular sections within a 650 mm diagonal. Lengths up to 12 m, and longer runs can be spliced by in-house welding. Materials: mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium and galvanised tube. We cut holes, slots, copes and mitred ends in one setup and check dimensions in process against your drawing. We do not cut brass or copper.
Thick plate
Mild steel up to 50 mm, stainless steel up to 40 mm, aluminium up to 30 mm. Bed sizes are 12,000 × 2,500 mm and 6,000 × 2,000 mm, so long plates for frames and base plates are cut in one piece. Bevel cutting up to 45 degrees prepares edges for welding. A general cutting tolerance is not published: tell us the tolerance your drawing needs and we confirm feasibility part by part.
